Our most popular course yet with 40 teachers from 11 different countries and we had the best time sharing ideas and experiences. One of the highlights of the week was our Golden Circle Circle tour. Thank you to our fabulous photographers for these great images which capture the raw beauty of Iceland!
Without a doubt, the cultural evening was great fun, this time with an international beer pong competition and of course we finished the evening chasing the northern lights.
Of course, we did find some time to fit a course in!
Here’s what some of our participants had to say…
The course “Smart Teachers Play More” showed us how to combine movement and play, as children’s favorite activities, with learning. It was an inspiring experience that will enrich our educational work. We were enabled to participate actively in all activities, but also to exchange good practice examples from our classrooms. I want to thank our “teachers” Sarah, Kristin and Felicity for their patience, goodwill and selflessly shared knowledge during a wonderful week spent in a supportive environment. Marija Lesandric, Croatia
A very interesting course. They have made it very practical and participatory. The speakers were very good, hardworking and cared a lot for us and our needs. I recommend everyone to take this course. Manuel Marín Martínez, Spain
The course “Smart teachers play more” was a course for learning how to do proficient language teaching to students of all ages by means of games, short plays, chants, rhythms and movement. We acquired the theory the methods are based on and carried out several activities ourselves. The course was well-structured, informative and entertaining. The focus was on natural learning processes of a child and we learned about how we can make use of them in our classrooms. In addition we learned about easy ways of creating teaching material ecologically. There was also enough room for experience sharing among all the participants. We got a general insight in different school systems and different ways of teaching, especially in an Icelandic school. The trainers were attentive and prepared to respond to individual needs while taking care of the whole Group at the same time. This course was very beneficial for my teaching career. Thank you Kristín, Sarah and Felicity! Mandy Oestreich, Germany
